Our AirBnB, called 'Reve de Mer' is quite incredible, overlooking the turquoise lagoon on three sides. We have our own kayaks (one with a transparent bottom) and a little sandy private beach. We can feed the fish from our windows. We're in heaven.
An attempt by Gen to shoot night shots from our bungalow is scuppered by nearby light pollution and gives an interesting result nonetheless.
Our car rental took us to the main highlights of the island: the Gabbros, a geological lava formations point of interest, the Unesco heritage listed ceremonial site of Marae Taputapuatea, the Botanical Garden.

Island hopping continues. Dawn finds us on the waterfront, waiting for our boat to Taha'a.
