From the Victoria Highway, we followed a rocky 4wd track for 47 km into the Judbarra/Gregory National Park.
Our destination was the old Bullita Homestead, used by pioneers as an outstation for droving stock to WA. The atmosphere of man enveloped by nature is so strong.

An enormous pair of boabs or bottle trees dwarfs the building. They have a carving 'Durack 1852'. On the back porch, rangers have provided a stove to heat the billy for a cuppa.
Nearby is the meticulously designed bloodwood and lancewood stockyard where mickey bulls, calves and cows were drafted.
