The wettest place in Australia

Nearby Babinda, a bright, technicolour town lives at an easy pace, enjoying being Australia's wettest place, also known as umbrella town.

A short drive onwards, we visited Babinda Boulders, a mixed scenery of huge, sculpted boulders interspersed with powerful torrents and wide pools of translucent water.

Further down the coast, we walked to Josephine Falls with natural waterslides, jungly lianas, and rough and smooth stretches of water flowing between and over large boulders.
