Cairns Northern beaches

Our AirBnB in Trinity Beach was a groundfloor appartment with access to a swimming pool and surrounded by tropical gardens.

Between Trinity Beach and Port Douglas are the Northern beaches of Ellis, Clifton and Kewarra.

Each have stinger nets and massive chains hauled in and out by pulleys and cables. These nets provide a relatively secure swimming spot, patrolled by surf lifesaver guards to keep out  jellyfish stingers, sharks, and crocs.

You don't have to swim to enjoy the great esplanades, bikeways, and resting spots tucked in behind the beaches. Palm Cove has a cool vibe with the esplanade lined with cafes, restaurants and palatial beach apartments, plus a tiny, pastel-coloured village complex tucked off the road.
