Hartley's Croc park has salties, freshies and alligators.
Feeding time for the salties was fronted by an Aussie keeper with a laconic
humour who regaled us with the latest stories of mostly Aussies getting carried
away or body parts shortened by crocs. Whilst dangling and snatching away
chunks of chook and roo on a string, he managed to piss off all the big males,
like Douglas, captured after pursuing a golfer at the Port Douglas golf club;
and the snappy female performer, Madonna.
In the grounds, we also popped into an aviary with Pacific Bazas and gaping Frogmouths.
