Victoria River Morning Walks

Up early, we took a hike up steep steps along the Escarpment walk to a bench with panoramic views across the Victoria River Valley lit by early morning sun.

Further up the road, an eroded dirt track led through the Bush down to the rocky riverbed of the Old Victoria River Ford, once a haunt for mobs of cattle and their drovers cracking whips as they splashed across. Now abandoned, just birds, gentle breezes and waterholes remain.
