We revisited Port Augusta on a day of rain for a change for some more repairs, then took the Stuart Highway towards Pimba. A few kms before, we took a sideroad leading to fabulous views over Island Lagoon saltpan and its volcano-like, brown island rising gracefully in the centre.
Exploring further, we came to a great location to overnight on a barren, windwept, rocky ridge overlooking the Lagoon.
In the darkness, the wind whistled eerily around our motorhome framed by the shimmering beauty of the Milky Way.
