Beautiful
Kalbarri looks great second time around, plus we caught the very end of
the wildflower season with wonderful displays along the road through
the National Park.
Inside the park, we went to the Murchison River Gorges for a hike to spectacular Z Bend and Nature's Window.
We
stayed a night at Murchison House Station, a delightful place with
goats, alpacas, and old memorabilia from its days as a sheep station.
Once owned by the heir to the Sultan of Turkey, the station now holds
5000 goats which are mustered each year and shipped off to Geraldton and
the Middle East for meat. Jah, as he was known, would choose his wives
on the basis of whether they would open a station gate.
