Lappa: Meet Yappa the Optimist in his Pub

Tim the optimistic Yappa, spinner of yarns, has a severely optimistic view of his kingdom which he is shortly upgrading. This is heritage on the wild side, the way I like it. Roof timbers wired from long ago, plus original, corrugated roof sheets with holes for airflow except in the Wet, and floorboards demanding great care where you step behind the bar or you'll fall below.

In 2021, grandly named as a town with 3 buildings, Lappa went on the market for $340,000. Tim got his fame in the media, TV, ABC, and social media...all the way to the UK. However, no takers as yet, but he mentions a possible business partner.

Tim loves to talk, and I like his no BS, say it the way it is attitude. We delve into the lowdown on the inner workings and machinations of the council and scandalous rates. Then there's skinflint caravanners who steal his precious water and rock up with $200 grand rigs, but won't pay $2 admission.

The eclectic displays of mining and railway memorabilia, rocks, and car parts are crowned behind the bar by a mounted, feral porker trophy with a police cap which does not deter lowlife from regularly nicking stuff.

The premier's father's groping exploits are another astounding source of conversation.

Across the track is the old railway stop. A while ago, a dog from a passing ute bit a lady passenger on the SavannahLander tour so now the train doesn’t stop here anymore.

Come and visit Lappa. Put your money in the tin, avoid the holes in the floorboards, and kick back for a 1000 yarns with Tim, the Yappa from Lappa who will make your day.
