At New Year's Eve, freshly covid booster jabbed, we were comfortably installed in a super, rural housesit with a hilltop view and 12 chooks plus a randy rooster for company.
The hens were laying for the Australian Olympics, 8 eggs a day, no sweat, except for us to keep up consumption as the fridge filled with egg carton after egg carton.
From the sweeping terrace, Gen took stunning pics of the birdbath antics of Gilbert's honeyeaters, silvereyes, splendid fairywrens, wattlebirds, western spinebills, and many more species.
