Tucked away off the road, Jam Patch free camp, named after its jam trees, offers pleasant walks out to the pink tinged salt lakes where a makeshift, old style Corduroy Road of wooden beams crosses the water. These bridges were used in the last century to get vehicles out of bogs or to cross marshland.
