Rainbow Beach Travels

For some sea air, we travelled for an hour or so to Rainbow Beach on the coast. Outside the village, a short drive took us to a lovely, leafy, spacious caravan park where we camped with a sea view.

Highlight of the visit was the arrival of several Australian Indo-pacific Humpback Dolphins cavorting in the water. We think they had come over from Tin Can Bay on the opposite shoreline where they are legally fed, but in the campsite it was not allowed.

What a delight to sit in campchairs with a cooling breeze, icecream, sea views...and the occasional sandfly bite.

Robert had gone for a swim, looking for dolphins. Instead, a water babe found him.

Nearby, is a scenic marina with restaurant.
