Poona:
From there, we were off to Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, named after the year when Captain Cook anchored the Endeavour three kms away. For a change of pace we hired scooters in perfect weather for a day to visit the paperbark forests, then a walk along Chinaman's Beach.
Lunch was flathead fish and chips overlooking the scenic 1770 beach, followed by a beautiful walk along the lookout.
Sunburnt and smiling, we enjoyed our bubbly at the campsite after a cooling dip in the pool. Our Christmas lunch was smoked BBQ pork ribs. Very tasty!!
