Tucked away in the hinterlands of Noosa, is the lovely rural village of Eumundi.
Bi-weekly markets here are spectacular. The vibe is fun and laidback. No tat, just lots of stalls with everything from custard apples to artisan pottery.
Colourful buskers weave through the crowds playing harmonica, French horn and accordion.
The well preserved, historical main street, lined with large fig trees, also has fine vintage hotels, an Indian chief holding a sign for an ATM; and a Berkelouw bookshop that yields us heaps of Australiana yarns.
