Skywalk on the Wild Side

Ah the warmth in Kalbarri feels so good.

A sidetrip took us to the jagged, eroded seacliffs of the Kalbarri coastline, including views far below of the Natural Bridge and Castle Cove.

Time for a morning stroll on Skywalk, a very creative engineering feat with spectacular views, soaring above the Murchison River gorge in Kalbarri National Park.

Surrounded by colourful tracts of banksia, the cleverly creative, approach track to the projecting structures is laid out with Indigenous paving patterns and lined with charming sculptures of emus, chuditch (Western Quoll), spiny devil, and more.

Gen excitedly beckoned me over to quickly see a falcon before it flew away,  only for me to twig that it was a lifelike sculpture which easily fooled us.
