Circling Brisbane

After months travelling the Outback, we landed up sorting our medical and mechanical issues with a long stay in Brisbane.

Robert had a camera inserted back and front ends by a nifty, nimble, young female doctor who pronounced the all clear.

Next, Gen popped in for day surgery on her nose which is mending over several weeks.

Base camp was the delightful Baden Powell Scout Camp in the suburban valley of Samford where we also got caught in Covid lockdown.

Having escaped Covid lockdown for many months, our luck ran out one day after Gen's nose op, when a local cleaner at a Brisbane quarantine hotel tested positive and triggered 3 days of lockdown for Greater Brisbane.

For a seaside break after the 3-day lockdown ended, we went to Beachmere where we enjoyed the tidal sandflats with their wading birds, masses of light blue soldier crabs, inky black storms and noisy corellas.

Next medical topic is Gen's cataracts to be treated in day surgery.
