Here in South Australia, step outside and the superheated blast singes your face and instantly parches your mouth. We alternate between soaking in the caravan park pool and clinging to our labouring aircon inside the bus.
The park management inexplicably decides to drain and refill the pool on a 47 degree Celcius day. We feel like ducks without water.
Then thunder booms, three drops of rain fall, and the breeze blows in a cool change sending temperatures plummeting 12 degrees Celcius lower in a few hours.
