Yay!! We're Queenslanders

So, 7 days after leaving Kiama, we made it across outback NSW and QLD in our two-vehicle convoy to Cairns.

Logistics include storing Bluey the campervan undercover; and getting ourselves Queensland licence plates so that Bushie the 4wd is street legal and snappy looking with burgundy sunshine state plates. Yay, officially Queenslanders now!

We are moving in temporarily, until our future house is free, to a lovely company apartment on the esplanade opposite The Lagoon swimming pool in the centre of Cairns with nice views of the surrounding hills, and an amazing evening display of hundreds of fruit bats gliding past the balcony.

Jump, shake your body, wave your hands in the air! Free Aqua Zumba sessions occur every Thursday evening in the Lagoon.

Laze in the park, lounge in the pool, or sunbathe on your blowup cushion! Lifestyle in Cairns is incredibly relaxed and cool.

We wasted no time to celebrate our arrival with a couple of frozen margaritas.

In the streets, the Christmas displays are on. Taking Christmas seriously by 33C takes a little bit of convincing.
