What pleasure to laze for three days to watch the vivid sunrise in the cool of the morning. At low tide, we clearly see the holes on the mudflats made by rays feeding on crabs.
We follow the slow glide of the white-bellied sea-eagle on the hunt for prey in the late afternoon.
A black kite with fish feeds on the wing.
At camp we find intricate moths and delicate mushrooms.
Adult and baby brush turkeys visit the camp, as does a varied triller, a sunbird, red-tailed black cockatoes fly overhead, whilst a large goanna flicks his tongue for our scent.
Meanwhile, blue soldier crabs wander in their thousands on the beach.
The tide recedes a km and drops speedily to reveal mudflats. Perfect for a drone view.
When the tide returns, so do the fishos with rod and bucket attended by hopeful seagulls. Bubbly is for happy hour to celebrate nature sharing this secret spot.
