
Docked along the jetties are sleek boats and a Chinese junk with the drinks being hauled aboard for a sunset cruise. There is urgency to walk the gangplank, get the young and old trippers ready for fun.
Beside the dock, there are bars and restaurants, live music excites the thirsty at Hemingway's Brewery.
We book a table at Lure, where a couple of frozen margaritas followed by a bottle of chilled white slide
gracefully down the hatch as the cool evening breeze lifts after the
last rays of the sun.
Gen tucks into Barra with ink sauce; I go for Japanese style tuna with sesame crust and ginger. We top it off
with date pudding for me; and coconut panacotta for Gen.
It looks
likely we'll be living and working up here if all goes well with
interview and visa. What a life in Australia, just gets better and
better.
